FORMER THINGS

Forget the Past. . .

"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old (Is 43:18).   For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind" (Is 65:17).

A New Thing has Come.

"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?" (Is 43:19)

The Lord makes a Way . . .

"I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. The wild beasts will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise." (Is 43:19-21)

For you to be Glad and Rejoice.

But be glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy (Is 65:18). I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in my people; no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress (Is 65:19).

He shall fill your days . . .

No more shall there be in it an infant that lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed (Is 65:20).

for you to Build Houses, Work, and be Productive.

They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit (Is 65:21).
