and without him was not anything made

All things were made through him . . .
He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not (John 1:10). He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth belongs to the earth, and of the earth he speaks; he who comes from heaven is above all (John 3:31).
He has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have gotten him victory. The LORD has made known his victory, he has revealed his vindication in the sight of the nations (Ps 98:1-2).
Without him was not anything made that was made . . .
"All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” (Matthew 11:27)
The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand (John 3:35).
