2 He called a child over, placed it in their midst, 3 and said, “Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of heaven. 4 Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven. (Mt 18:1-3)
BECOME HUMBLEThe greater you are, the more you must humble yourself; so you will find favor in the sight of the Lord (Sirach 3:18).
Lord, no one is great except you alone. Strengthen my will and determination to remain humble even amidst the outpouring of your great and overflowing blessings so that I may quietly enjoy the peace and abundance that you bring. Keep me under your feet as your servant who acknowledges that I am nothing without you who is my true Master and Lord. You alone made me who I am and what I am today. May the love that binds us together forever flourish until eternity. With much praise, thanksgiving, and humility of heart I pray, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:19).
